Record of Birth listed in family records for Lum Brock's family maintained by my grandmother, Effie Brock. Have found no other information about her, however, in any other sources, although my grandmother's records do say S.M. [Pierce (written above rest of name)] died Nov. 21, 1810 (probably should be 1910? - she would have been 21 by 1910 but was not born yet in 1810) and lists a G.W. Pierce just below that who died in 1886. [NOTE: According to my mother, my grandfather had a sister named Pearl May Brock with same date of birth, who married a man named J.G. Pierce. I have found records for a Pearl May Pierce with the same date of birth. Census records, however, show a Samantha Brock with birth date of Feb. 1889 as a member of Elijah Brock's family (no Pearl shown in any census records found to date). I'm wondering if it's possible her name was Samantha Pearl May Brock . . . . DW]
