Died at 3:00 pm April 24, 1906 (was told this was a result of a traffic accident in New York, however, family Bible in my possession says she died in Norden, Nebraska, which would explain her burial there rather than in New York). She was almost 19 years old (would have been 19 in two weeks) and must have had one child before her death. I have found a letter addressed to a Clara Bacon written in 1950 after the death of Florence's father, William Hawkins. // ***** // ***** // Buried in Norden Cemetery, which is located just west of Norden, NE, on the north side of Hwy 12. // Cemetery Entry Reads: Bacon, Florence - May 8, 1897 - Apr.24, 1906 - Wife of J.W. Bacon - "Darling we miss theee" . . . . . . . [**NOTE: Print transcript lists birth date incorrectly - should be 1887 NOT 1897, as she was married and had a child before her death in 1906, however photo of tombstone on Nebraska Gravestones site shows correct birth date in 1887.] // ***** // ***** // Also buried in same cemetery (not sure whether or not she is related to Florence Bacon's husband, J.
