Clara is the only child known to date of Florence and J. W. Bacon. It's possible she has siblings, however, hers was the only name found in relation to her family among Dad's paperwork when the estate of her grandfather, William Hieatt Hawkins, was divided among his children after his death in March 1950. Clara's mother, Florence, was killed April 24, 1906, at age 19 in an auto-related accident in New York and is buried in the West Norden Cemetery near Norden, Nebraska. Based on the age of her mother at the time she died, I would estimate Clara's birthdate sometime between 1903 and 1906.
