R. Allen of Arpelar, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a family reunion and open house Easter Sunday. The couple were married on April 5, 1903 at Norden, Nebraska and moved to North McAlester four years later (February 1907). He was employed as a car inspector by the railroad here for twenty-three years, until June 1931, when he and Mrs. Allen moved to a farm near Arpelar, which he operated until he retired in 1950.
