Son of William B. Sutton (1803-1866) and Sarah Masten (1808-1849) & Father of Flora Bell SUTTON, George W. SUTTON was born July 11, 1837 in Ripley County, Indiana and died December 15, 1905 in Box Butte County, Nebraska at age 68. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, 7 miles south & west of Alliance, Box Butte County, NE. // Married Elzina SPRAGUE on 23 Dec 1861 in Versailles, Ripley County, Indiana (b. 1840; d. 1917 / also buried in Evergreen Cemetery) George & Elzina SUTTON were the parents of nine children, including: Flora Belle, Carrie W. (who married Robert W. Westley in 1887), Laura E. (possibly Ellen) (who married John W. Lawrence in 1890), George Jr. (who married Arrabel Frazier in 1893), Emma (who married Albert P. Smith in 1912, and Josephine (who married Albert Spickler in 1914). The family moved to Box Butte Co., Nebraska about 1886.
